The Raider tracksters junior Mikyla Dittman, seniors Beth Harding, Ashely Ruppert and Nancy Koskamp competed in the 4×800 Meter Relay race Saturday, Feb. 7, and qualified for the national indoor track meet, while placing 6th in the NAIA with a time of 9:41.95.
“This is a goal that we set out to accomplish at the beginning of the season, and it’s great that we have accomplished it right now in the middle of the season,” said Harding.
But these women are only part of the 4×800 team. There are actually two other women who train and compete on the 4×800 relay with these women junior Jennifer Erickson and senior Angela (Van Meeteren) Schuiteman. “We all train, practice and compete together. Whoever is running the best and is the healthiest gets to compete in the race,” said Harding.
