One week ago, the men’s golf team traveled to Yankton, SD, to compete at Mount Marty.
Senior Ryan Anema led the Raiders, by tying for first place in the tournament with Morningside’s Jon Peterson with a score of 78.
Filling out the score were senior Paul Clemens with 83, sophomore Aaron Aberson and freshman TJ Korver both with 88, freshman Brett Boote with 81, freshman Brady Baker with 91 and freshman Mark Fleagle with 84.
The Raiders placed third in the meet with 330 points, behind Morningside with 316 and Wayne State with 328.
The Raiders play in the NW Iowa Invitational at Landsmere Golf Course today at 1:30 p.m. and tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. in Sioux Center.
Last Friday and Saturday the Lady Raiders traveled to Lincoln, Neb., to play in the two-day Nebraska Wesleyan Tournament.
It was a bit of a struggle for the team, as they placed 8th overall in the tournament. Briar Cliff won the tournament.
Sophomore Jenn Freeman led the Lady Raiders on both days with a total score of 172, placing 7th individually.
Filling out the team score was junior Brooke Wissler who recieved 22nd place with 185.
Senior Melanie Coulter achieved 30th place with 189, senior Deann Anema placed 37th with 193, sophomore Kara Van De Berg placed 40th with 194, freshman Steph Hague placed 49th with 202 and freshman Randi Barge placed 53rd with 265.
Today and tomorrow the Lady Raiders travel to Green Valley Golf Course in Sioux City to play in the conference meet hosted by Briar Cliff.
