The women’s tennis team traveled to Grinnell last Saturday.
In the match against Grinnell, freshman Kellie Korver forced Constanza Alarcon to tie-breaker in the first set before falling 7-6 and 6-1 in the No. 3 singles. The doubles matches were close as well. Sophomore Julie Mineart and freshman Jennifer Jansen fell 8-6 in No. 1 doubles. Senior Jessica Pomrenke and Korver lost 8-5 at No. 2 doubles, and juniors Laura Starr and Kate Mannenbach were defeated 8-5 at No. 3 doubles. Grinnell won 9-0 victory in the match.
Cornell also triumphed over the Red Raiders, 8-1. Korver and Pomrenke claimed the lone Northwestern victory, 8-5 over Caryl Abeyta and Alyssa Zavislak.
The Raiders will travel to Midland Luthern this afternoon.
