The Northwestern men’s golf team came away with a victory on Thursday afternoon at the Briar Cliff Invite. The squad shot an even 300, six shots ahead of second-place Midland.
Senior Michael Clark took second-place as an individual with a 73. Clark was actually tied for first, and earned a chance at a playoff for the individual medal, but did not win the playoff hole and was placed runner-up.
Junior Kyle Stanek carded a 75, which earned him a fourth-place finish.
Sophomore Jay Monahan and junior Ryan Kiewiet had identical scores of 76 which tied them for fifth place. Both golfers shot 38 on the front and back.
Senior Michael Dykema finished in the top-20 after turning in a 79.
The Raiders have their second GPAC Qualifier on Wednesday to wrap up the fall season.
