nder Stelt opened the doors of her new boutique downtown called Aria. This boutique is located on Central Avenue in the heart of Downtown Orange City, IA. With clothes for women, men and even babies, this new addition to town is bringing the all the current trends and styles to one place.
Vander Stelt was born and raised in Arkansas, and that will always be a place she calls home. While many of her friends and family still live there, she has found a new home here in Orange City. Vander Stelt’s husband is from Iowa, and she has now lived here for six years. When trying to come up with a name for her boutique, she reflected on how blessed she is to have two states that she can call home, filled with different people who have supported her and shaped her into who she is today. That is why this boutique is called ARIA, it is a combination of Arkansas and Iowa, the two places where Vander Stelt will forever find a sense of family and community.
The free feeling of being at home and comfortable expressing yourself is the vision the boutique was founded on. Vander Stelt’s mission is to “inspire people to break free from what may be considered ‘ordinary’ and celebrate a unique style. With our handpicked collections, personalized service and genuine care, every visit is designed to be a delight.” The mission of ARIA is prominent right when you step into the store. The bright shades of pink and the disco ball logo encapsulate the fun vibe ARIA brings to town and sums up Vander Stelt as a person. The cute clothes on every rack filled with all different colors will bring a smile to your face right as you enter the door.
What sets ARIA apart is that it not only caters to women, but also men and even babies. Their baby line is called ARIA Too, with a range of onesies, everyday outfits, dressy outfits, accessories and more. ARIA sells a brand called UNRL, offering professional and performance wear to both men and women. Along with clothing, ARIA also offers a variety of accessories from hats to necklaces. This shop has trending styles for all types of people. You can find anything from athleisure to a blazer, with a large size range. The diverse options are what makes this boutique a great addition to Orange City.
ARIA is already finding ways to engage the community of Orange City with the new addition. Every month ARIA does a $50 gift card giveaway, and you can enter by shopping at ARIA and tagging them in a post with your new item. ARIA also participates in small business Saturday and has their ribbon cutting with the Orange City Chamber this coming Friday, Oct. 25 at 11:45a.m. They also plan to participate in Halloween trick-or-treating that is coming up at the end of the month.
While ARIA is new to the community, the future of this boutique is bright. Employees at ARIA describe Vander Stelt as a kind and ambitious boss, who is always wearing a smile. She not only cares about the store, but also makes sure that her employees and customers enjoy their experiences every day. Since the grand opening, things have been flying off the shelves, proving its popularity in town. Vander Stelt hopes that the shop will continue to grow and evolve with the community of Orange City and beyond and hopes that everyone will check it out. ARIA is continually restocking new trends and styles, inviting shoppers to stop by and purchase in store or online to support a local small business.
