Renowned author, speaker and comedian Ken Davis comes to NW’s Bultman Center this Sat., April 3 at 6 p.m. to perform his side-splitting comedy. Advance tickets are available for $14 at The Dove in Orange City, True Vine in Sioux Center and RISE Ministries in Sheldon. Tickets are $16 at the door.
Davis, a Minnesota native and graduate of Oak Hills Bible College, has been a keynote speaker in many corporate meetings and events, as well as a featured speaker for Promise Keepers. He frequently appears on Dr. James Dobson’s “Focus on the Family” radio program.
“Lighten Up,” Davis’ daily two-minute radio clip, is heard on many radio stations around the country. Its purpose is to encourage and challenge Christians to grow in their faith using Davis’ life-based comedy. Davis often references his family’s antics in his comedy, allowing many people to relate to his experiences.
As the president of Dynamic Communications International, Davis conducts seminars throughout the country teaching communication and speaking skills to people in the ministry and corporate businessmen and women. His books have been used as textbooks in colleges and seminaries around the country in helping many people learn to communicate more effectively.
Davis is also an active participant with Compassion International, which seeks to connect people with children around the world who live in poverty in order to bring them the basic necessities of life.
