Northwestern will host the second annual High School Leadership Conference during the weekend of Nov. 14-15.
The conference is for students that have leadership roles in church, school or community, or that are interested in learning more about leadership. Students within a 3-hour radius of the college are invited to attend.
“We want to introduce them to the NW campus and we want them to hear more from college students and faculty who have experience in leadership,” said Lisa Burch, Director of Student Programs.
“We will encourage students to seek the placement and calling of leadership in their life. We have a goal of 50 students to participate in the program.”
“Dare to Stand” is the theme of the conference this year.
The conference will include workshops, recreation activities and sessions with speaker Chuck Mullikin, NW 2002 graduate.
Nov. 5 is the deadline for applying to the conference. NW student volunteers are still needed to provide housing for the conference participants on Friday night, Nov. 14, and may contact Burch at ext. 7200 if interested.
