Northwestern College will host the annual Red Raider Open this weekend.
The meet will feature seven competing GPAC teams, including the Red Raiders. Other participating schools include: Augustana, University of Sioux Falls, Dakota State, and Southwest Minnesota State.
The two-day meet at DeValois Stadium, Korver Field will get underway at 1 p.m. Friday, April 10, beginning with several multi events consisting of javelin, hammer, pole vault, 5,000m run, 4x800m relay and the 10,000m run.
Competition will resume 9 a.m. Saturday, April 11, with the remainder of the scheduled events.
Two Red Raider athletes have qualified for the 2015 NAIA Outdoor National Championships, Karen Ettleman (100m Hurdles-11th and Long Jump-8th) and Levi Ettleman (Shot Put-7th).
NW heads to the Sioux City Relays next weekend, a two-day event held April 17-18 at Elwood-Olsen Stadium.
