The Northwestern business department is hosting one day of superb business and leadership training. Entre-Leadership is a livestream event open to the public and NW students. This is the second year that NW has hosted this event. The livestream will be held on Friday, Nov. 9, in the Vogel Community Room of the DeWitt Learning Commons from 9:45 am to 4:45 pm.
The event is livestreamed from Phoenix, Ariz. and features four well-known speakers.
Dave Ramsey is the CEO of Ramsey Solutions, an author and is known as one of America’s most trusted voices on money.
Chris Hogan is a leadership and financial expert and best-selling author. He will discuss how the everyday individual can become a millionaire.
Bobby Gruenewald is the founder of the popular Bible app, YouVersion. He has a passion for exploring new ideas and then creating them to strengthen the global church.
Scott Harrison was a former nightclub and party promoter in Manhattan. His life turned upside down when he was exposed to the impoverished living conditions in Liberia. After this experience he started the nonprofit organization called Charity: Water. The nonprofit is striving to end the water crisis in this current lifetime and make clean water accessible to everyone.
The four speakers wil discuss various topics. The main theme of the conference is “Market Disruptors: Lead and thrive in a market that’s constantly changing.”
People attending this event will learn how to develop a mindset that sees opportunities rather than problems, why comfort zones should be the most uncomfortable place to be, the importance of creating culture that creates change, and what the top innovators in today’s marketplace do to thrive versus just survive.
Entre-Leadership livestream is an incredible learning experience as well as networking opportunity. Various local businesses will be represented at the event.
The conference is for business owners, leaders and their teams, which is why a special group rate is offered for groups of ten or more attendees. The event is intended to transform the way businesses and individuals grow in order to achieve their highest potential.
The event is also a fantastic learning experience for current NW students. Students will learn what an Entre-Leader looks like opposed to a boss. The ideas presented will provide strong material to discuss in interviews as well as use in future jobs.
Along with that, students can greatly benefit from networking with other attendees. The experience is cheap, especially considering all the advantages students should take advantage of.
The NW business department was very pleased with the attendance and feedback from last year and are hopeful to have similar results. The event costs $25 for community members and $5 for NW faculty, staff and students. Attendees are also invited to a lunch buffet on campus for $6.
Registration can be completed on NW’s website and closes on Monday, Nov. 5. For questions or concerns, contact online@nwciowa.edu or call 712-707-7388.
Innovation and change require time and commitment. While taking a day off work or classes does not seem ideal, the ideas and concepts learned will reap far bigger rewards when put into practice.
