Dear Diary,
I am so excited to finally start my college career. I have been looking forward to this for a while. I have decided to attend Northwestern Classical Academy. I think this college will be a great fit for me. Now I just have to see how it goes.

Dear Diary,
College life has been okay. Sports have been keeping me busy. I am a huge fan of football, my dad has loved the sport since it passed up baseball in popularity. I have been going to all the football games here at NW. Our team has been doing so well. I did not think that this could be the year…the year for greatness. I didn’t believe we would win but here we are. The football season was such a success, they did so well. It was absolutely insane, I am so proud of our boys. Our football team just won! They won the NAIA! I can’t believe it. My dad is going to be so happy when I tell him.

Dear Diary,
There are some cute boys on campus, my friends all have found a man. I’m just here waiting for my turn. There has been one boy who has been talking to me more. I don’t want to give you any details just in case it won’t turn out.

Dear Diary,
I’m sorry I have not written to you in a while. This college life has just been very busy. Campus is so pretty around the fall, with the orange and red leaves. There is one building that always catches my attention when I am on campus. That building just so happens to be the one and only, Zwemer Hall. It is the building that stood out to me the most when I first got onto campus. It’s a romantic old building, really, I can’t help myself from drawing it. I have so many different drawings of it hanging up in my dorm. The architecture is so cool, the Roman arches would catch your eye as you walk across campus. This building is old and stands tall representing something great. Recently an article came out in the Classic, by Nelson Nieuwenhuis, about the laying of the building and how it came to be. It talked about laying the cornerstone. I think that Zwemer Hall is the cornerstone of this campus. I can’t believe this building wasn’t on this campus from the beginning. Zwemer Hall is like the face of the campus, at least in my opinion it is.
And who knew that the Zwemer family was so well traveled. Peter Zwemer went to Arabia, Samuel continued his brother’s work in Arabia until he was called to Egypt and then there is Principal James Zwemer of Northwestern. These people traveled for missionary work. Maybe one day I could do that. I could go to Arabia or Egypt.
Anyway, back to talking about Zwemer Hall. The laying of the cornerstone for Zwemer Hall to become a building happened during a Commencement Week way back when the college was still new which was probably the most amazing commencement week there ever was. I just think that Zwemer Hall is so awesome. This campus would really be lacking some cool things if it hadn’t had Zwemer Hall.

Dear Diary,
Earlier I had mentioned a boy. Yeah, he still talks to me. We are kind of dating now. I’m pretty sure that we are going to get married one day. Most of my class is already married. I just can’t wait for it to be my turn.

Dear Diary,
Update, he actually proposed today and we are going to get married this coming fall. These years at NW have been a blessing. I didn’t know that God would bring me this far. I am so glad I decided to go to Northwestern Classical Academy. One day I hope to send my children here. This place has just been so amazing. You never know, maybe my kids will find their spouses here as well. But, first I need to get married then I can start the rest of my legacy.
