We also have some guys who haven’t wrestled yet this year due to injury, so by the time regionals roll around we should be all settled in. We’re going to make a run for a regional team title.”
Junior Tyree Cox won 6-0 wrestling in the 174 pound weight category against Morningside. Randall Null won 6-4 in an overtime match at 184. Senior Forrest Marx claimed a 6-2 victory in the heavyweight division (285).
Against Buena Vista, freshman Austin Boles won 16-5 wrestling at 125. Freshman Brandon Schuler won 4-2 in the 165 weight group. Freshman Nicholas Null claimed a 12-2 victory at174. Junior Randall Null was a winner-by-fall at 184.
“It always feels good to go undefeated at duels,” Randall Null said. “It was even better that I avenged my loss to the Morningside kid that I’ve been waiting to beat since my freshman year.”
NW will host Midland on Wednesday, Feb 4. The first match will begin at 7 p.m.
