BASTION
BY MICHAEL GUTSCHE
”Bastion” is a video game that consists of exploring, rebuilding and subsequently hammering the daylights out of the inhabitants in a post-apocalyptic fairytale world that is literally coming to pieces all around. It’s narrated by a wonderful man who sounds like Ron Perlman. It’s brilliant.
Plus, the soundtrack is face-punchingly good. I haven’t heard music this great from a video game in, well, ever.
Most helpfully, it only costs $15. For an eight-hour game with Positive Adjective art, Positive Adjective music and Positive Adjective voiceover, it’s a deal almost too good to be true.
