“We definitely worked on shutting down their outside hitters,” said freshman setter Kaitlin Floerchinger. “We also upped the tempo of our game so they didn’t predict us so easy.”
In the first game, Dordt had two set points, but couldn’t find the essential point to pull out a win.
The Defenders were feeling NW’s pressure in the third game, and rallied to avoid the sweep.
The final point of the match came on Floerchinger serving an ace to take the win for the match.

The Raiders return to action at 5 p.m. this Saturday in the Bultman Center against GPAC rival Concordia for the final regular-season match.
NW’s record reflects early season struggles, but the women are confident going into the postseason.
“We definitely know that we can beat every team in the conference,” Floerchinger said. “I think that’s the most important thing.”
